The receiver manual says the following:
5. Optional Polyphase network module
"...This is because the audio transformer TR1 is fed by the output of the polyphase network module, NOT by
IC5. In fact since IC5 is not used, you do not actually need to install IC4, TR2, or the associated resistors
R1-R8 in the final difference amplifiers (IC5a, IC5b)."
IC4 and IC5 are fed the four quadrature phases from the FST3253.? But, the above paragraph says neither IC4 nor IC5 need to be installed. The receiver schematic does not show how the the four phases get to the polyphase header.
Does this mean the polyphase filter is fed directly from the FST3253, without amplification?
