Re: BITX QSO Night, Sunday, October 29, 7pm Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere

Yes that's correct, recalibration is required in this release.
The VFO calibration method has changed. From v1.26 we use multiplicative
correction (multiply by a ppm factor) rather than additive correction (add
a fixed offset). So the calibration numbers are indeed different.
Once the VFO is calibrated correctly we still need to apply a fixed offset
for USB mode, as before.

Hi Al, I found the same thing. I had to change my LSB calibration from -
230 to 50ppm. My USB also changed from 2460 to 2564 Hz but it may have
been
off before as I don't use USB.
I guess CQ WW wore out the bands but it did help me get my BitX DXCC total
up to 54

Worked Jerry W0PWE and Tom VE3THR. Didn't hear anyone else, not even
Willy!
When I tuned in Jerry, I thought he was 2 KHz high, but it turned out it
was me that was 2 KHz low. This was my first contact after updating to
v1.26 firmware, I had to change my LSB calibration from -340 to +80 to
get
back on frequency.
