I think that there are a number of factors that contribute to "PTT Pop". ?Of of them is most certainly the fact that supply voltage to the LM386
is being cut on TX and then restored on RX by relay K1. ?The POP mod I am using is documented in message #25080 of this group, and grounds the?
input to the LM386 audio amp on PTT closure and then holds it for a short while on the transition to RX when PTT is released. This doesn't?
completely eliminate the POP on the TX -> RX transition but it is good enough that I can comfortable wear headphones while operating both
CW and SSB. ?

P.S. I quite like the sound of the RX audio on this rig for both CW and SSB. I integrated a SotaBeams?
LaserBeam DSP audio filter module into my rig, with 2.4 Khz and 300 hZ bandwidth settings it works great for both SSB and CW.
