The unit receives. So the tuning unit is working.
Can you adjust tuning and get variation in frequency?
I suspect so since you say that both SSB and CW are working.
Does the background light up? Does the display show a soft glow?
If not, is it installed correctly? The proper orientation is covering the main
board. The wrong orientation will have the display at 180 deg. from the main board.
On the radiuno there is a blue pot. it is covered up when the display is installed correctly.
This adjusts contrast. Disconnect power. Pull the display out and turn the pot all the way one way.
Reinstall the display and power up the unit. The display will show two lines of blank squares or
will be totally whitish from the background light. Do the same thing only turn the pot all the way the other way.
The opposite thing will happen -- either all squares or all whitish.
If you can get these things, all is well. Turn the contrast to all squares and back off slowly a little bit.
The numbers and characters should then appear. Adjust the unit slowly until all is well to your eyes.
The blue pot really should be installed on the reverse side. Then adjustment is easy. Now it is a bit of a pain
as you must power up and down the unit for each adjustment. Mind you, it can be done with power on all
the time, but it is a bit risky to do so as the display must be disconnected and reconnected all the time.
