My Bitx40 arrived last week and i've been slowly putting it together. I noticed that only three of the wires are used on the 8 pin connector, with no instructions to connect the blue, orange, red, brown, or black wires, and on the 5 pin connector the black and yellow wires aren't called out in the instructions. This is right, right?
FYI, I only found two minor circuit board issues so far, both with toroid inductors. The rubber pad underneath one of the trifilar-wound toroids had a large piece of solder along one of the top edges. It popped off easily. I also noticed L2 was floppy and hadn't been pulled snug before the leads being soldered in place, plus it had a glob of solder bridging two coils on the bottom. I unsoldered it, removed the bridge, and resoldered it making sure the wires were snug. These are minor issues, especially given the low price of the Bitx40.
