Re: BITX40 on Digital Modes

I believe what you are looking for is DuinoVOX by KB9RLW.

I am currently in the process of building a duinovox and modding my bitx for upper sideband.

Hi,

I run both psk and jt-65 on usb .? Mostly I use JT-65 and it works very well... lots of contacts..

I did the usb mod and removed c91 and c92 - i get ?good sensitivity as well.

I use vox - I built a circuit called DuninoVox - google it if your looking for a great vox.
As for interface, I use some 600 ohms transformers to isolate ?things but capacitors also work fine.

Great little Digital rig

Hi everyone.
First post to the group and I have a question I'm not sure has been addressed before. I'm planning on building my BITX40 into a medium-sized, plastic ammo case as part of a complete QRP digital station. I've got a Raspberry Pi 3 set up running the Fldigi software in addition to WSJT-X. All of this has been successfully bread-boarded and tests just fine. That is... it tests fine with my Yaesu FT-857 as the transceiver.?

Has anyone tried running any of the digital modes like PSK31 or JT65 with the BITX40? In looking over the schematic, I'm thinking I may be able to switch between the mic input and an input from a device like the SignaLink USB with an external pot to control the gain into the BITX mic input. A lofty thought for the time being, but it looks good on paper.

What attracted me to using the BITX to run the digital modes is that a QRP radio is perfect for a mode like JT65 since you can run 1 watt and do pretty well as a weak signal mode. In theory, the SSB capabilities of the BITX almost make it a perfect match for what I'm trying to accomplish.

Any thoughts on the matter? Thanks for the input.
