Quick answer: Yes
I'd put a 0.1uF cap on both ends of the tuning pot wire. ? One at the tuning pot and another at the Raduino end. ?Both are from signal to ground. ?Any RF picked up in that tuning signal wire can cause random jumps in VFO frequency.
