Well, I use a 5ah agm deep cycle that I got from Batteries plus bulbs for $35ish. I had 2 considerations. Available space and weight. The 7 and maybe the 9ah would fit but the radio becomes very heavy. I also cut 2 slots in the bottom of my enclosure to fit a velcro strap. The kind that goes through a buckle type of device and back on it's mating side, to strap her in. Then a charging port in the rear panel to charge with my battery maintainer. Works slick. Not sure of how long it will last yet. See
