No. Note that 10-turn pots usually have a different connection that 1-turn pots.
The 1-turn pots have the wiper connected to the middle terminal; many 10-turn
pots have the wiper connected to the end terminal. The simplest thing to do is
measure resistance. Two terminals will show the total resistance and the third
will vary from 0 to max with respect to one of the other terminals.
Once you have determined which is the proper termination, connect you wires
for the tune pot in that configuration in place of the old one. Then you should get
more or less identical results. Note that if the tuning is reversed, i.e., if it goes down
in frequency while turning clockwise, then mereml turn the plugin around. What you
are doing is reversing the positive and ground leads. The wiper should be
connected to the center lead.
So connect them 1)one end positive 2)center to wiper 3)one end ground.
If the tuning is reversed, swap the outer leads. This is what Arv is saying
