I could send a picture of it as it currently stands, but given the issues the group is having with attachments, I'm not sure that's a good idea.

Thanks for the book purchase, it is sincerely appreciated!?

As to the BITX40, I have already purchased 3 and given one away. Tomorrow, I am proposing it as a club build, so hopefully there will be some orders to support Ashhar's efforts in India, as I'm sure some will choose to build it. I am also making it the core of my talk at FDIM ("Give Your QRP Rig a Facelift") and I'm working on two supplemental PCB's that will hold a 2.4" TFT display, CW, keyer, an (RF) AGC, S meter, battery voltage, all managed with a rotary encoder-base menuing system via a Mega 2560 Pro Mini. The encoder, AD9850, and Mega will be on one board that plugs into the display. The external circuitry for the rest will be on a Muppet board so the user can pick and implement the feature set they want.

Is this fun stuff or what?

24W was a peak reading of the needle on the meter when it jumped up. I should have said 18W to 12W, depending on what part of HellOoo I say. I won't be getting another cheap MFJ meter again.
I don't think the bitx is worth buying more expensive measurement equipment for. What I got shows the bitx has promising signs of life. But I'll pass a note on to Santa for better equipment.
