This is good thinking. I was wondering on a 2.5Mhz If for BITX and 10Mhz xtal clock for?detection and rest thru SDR soft. Only a couple of more diodes to add (I Q Mixer), another balun for phase splitter, 74HC74 for osc signals.
?
Should not be a problem on lower bands even with a? L/C VFO for conversion.

That sounds like a possible administrative nightmare!? I'm now
wondering if it was such a good idea?? ;-/
Hey!? The person who contemplated using a BITX20 to drive a VHF
transverter is really thinking.? That opens up a whole new set of
modifications that I had not considered.? Why
stop at VHF though?? Why
not VHF, UHF, and even microwave with a BITX as the baseband system?
