IMO keep the Raduino, get a 5 way switch and ground the various pins, each calling a specific freq in the raduino's arduino sketch. No LCD needed but you'd get the benefits of fixed channels that are programmable, and the stability of the the vfo.
Check out this nice 5way 1 pole switch. (obviously dbl check it if youre going to use it!)
