Okay, silly question, but I am not having a whole lot of luck finding plain old-fashioned 1/8"/3.5mm switched stereo jacks intended for chassis or panel mounting. All I can seem to find are PCB mounted ones. Anyone know where I can find them? I prefer the 3.5mm size because they are smaller in overall size.

My analog Bitx40 ordered in mid -December came with two audio jacks designed for just this purpose. Took a little study for a newcomer to building to figure out the wire-up, but they work just as desired.

i would use a stereo jack and loop the left and right channels. but add a 56ohm resistor series to active limb towards the headphones to reduce? blasting? your ears.this resistor should come in line only when? head/earphones are plugged.
?Now i extend the break contact? to the speaker. With this, the speaker sees the amplifier directly and the headphones/ earphones through a series resistor.
?For more clarity , I shall try to make a sch and put up soon.

A few questions about my new Bitx40:
?
First, how would I go about wiring in a jack, so that I can run an internal speaker, but have that speaker mute when I plug in a pair of headphones?
?
Second, where would I wire in a jack to plug in either a straight key or a CW keyer?
?
THird, I just bought a kit for an Easy Digi sound card interface kit (available on Ebay for just under $10), as I would like to be able to run PSK31. Normally, I believe, it would use a VOX for keying. How would I hook it up to my Bitx40?
