Maybe, maybe not. Not my business. I'll stick to my point, with yearly gross sales of 1.4 million Indian rupees and sales soaring, Paradigm E-commerce Pvt. Ltd needs to ship the rig in packaging that can
reasonably be expected to survive the mail, and to clean up the single-page schematic so it shows the correct transformers, core types, wire sizes, capacitor dielectric type, etc. for current and future reference. (You know that 20 years from now we'll
still see these radios come up for sale on eBay and people will say, "Why doesn't the schematic match the rig?")
Either that or increase the price for overseas shipment to cover the cost of two
new corrugated cardboard boxes and a couple of square feet of bubble wrap. Ask the owners of the BITX-40's that arrived crushed and DOA if they would have paid $3 more to upgrade the packaging so their rigs arrived in one piece and functional from the factory.
Seems like a no-brainer. Let the customer choose the risk level they're comfortable with and either upgrade the packaging or not.
The British MKARS80 BITX derivative has a very nice version-controlled manual at . They don't make much, if any, money on it and ship it around the world. Why can't the Paradigm E-commerce BITX-40 have a PDF manual with Theory of Operation, parts list, and trouble shooting section?
I asked in a separate thread that Farhan upload the KiCAD schematic file so the user community can easily edit the schematic without having to re-enter it from scratch. This would also encourage home-brewing the design as well as derivative works.
