I have driven the BITX with both a 9850 arduino powered DDS and an si5350
arduuino powered DDS and they both worked well plugged into the DDS plug on the
board.

Hi Slim, I've a question : have you disconnected the L4 vfo inductor before
connect the external vfo? I make some tests with 9850dds based vfo but suppose
that a bit of signal go to ground via the inductor.
