Re: zBitx Running Hot

Hey all-ya'all;
?
HYPOTHESIS: Whether or not software (and minor hardware changes) can improve the zBitx;
( OR, as a question; Will this be enough to make a stable/trouble-free unit v/v the three queries I just now ran ?)
?
?
1 -> pi@sbitx:~ $ vcgencmd measure_temp
temp=76.3'C
?
(Local data; Idle in shack....shack temp = 22'C)
?
- Question; WAY too hot + heatsink @ backpanel is NOT adjacent to the rpi, so results will be ???
- Observation; A proper fix could well involve some radical hardware modifications and case/layout revisions.
?
?
2 -> pi@sbitx:~ $ uname -a
Linux sbitx 5.10.63-v7+ #1496 SMP Wed Dec 1 15:58:11 GMT 2021 armv7l GNU/Linux
?
- Question; Will moving this to something newer and perhaps even 64bit help or make-worse the measured temps ???
?
?
3 -> pi@sbitx:~ $ free
? ? ? ? ? ? ? total ? ? ? ?used ? ? ? ?free ? ? ?shared ?buff/cache ? available
Mem: ? ? ? ? 438252 ? ? ?184180 ? ? ? 47300 ? ? ? ?3376 ? ? ?206772 ? ? ?195556
Swap: ? ? ? ?102396 ? ? ? ?7168 ? ? ? 95228

- Question; Is this correct amount of swap for such an old kernel (and just as old a core/gnu app environment) , AND is there enough ram anyways ???
?
- Observation; Besides being disingenuous about advertising this as a "...64bit integrated SDR radio." , is there enough ram ??? And is it being used effectively v/v swap ???
?
?
BOTTOM LINE - Is this the correct underlying rpi unit, with the right underlying linux version, properly packaged for use in the field ???????
