I assume the sBitx microphone would work. Is that an off the shelf item that can be purchased from somewhere else?

A stand should be steady so that the internal keyboard can be used. I was thinking along the lines of the KX2 with arms that rotate on the side.

Finally, there could be an accessory heat sink since it seems the unit gets rather hot.?

Thanks for reviewing my thoughts. Again, I would pay for these as accessories. Certainly couldn't expect them given the very fair price for the radio!
