Ashhar,
Thanks for that explanation - yes, the components and subassemblies in the zBitx are subject to numerous tariffs, but those tariffs are 'baked into' the price of the device offered by HF Signals. A zBitx (for example) imported into the US from India is not subject to any of US tariffs in the news today because of the de minimus clause/exception, since they are shipped individually, but as you describe the various components as they work their way from the factory to you (HF Signals) are subject numerous tariffs as they cross international borders.
As has been discussed previously in this forum, other countries treat the importation of HF Signals products differently, sometimes imposing tariffs or other fees on the imported devices, but that is not, and to the best of my knowledge will not, be the case in the US because of the de minimus clause/exception.

Sorry to extend this discussion, but does it also apply to goods that incorporate part components from China?
We get the pcbs fabricated at JLCPCB. We pay almost 60% duty (including anti dumping duty) on these as it arrives in India and then the finished product is shipped to the customers in USA and other countries.
My back of the envelope calculation is that more than 50% of the cost of zbitx is in double and triple duties.
Here is an example, consider the Si5351. It is imported into China at 20% duty, then it is soldered onto the PCB and sent to India. Indian customs duty and anti dumping duty is another 50% for imports from China. Effectively, the Si5351 in the hands ofAmerican costs 5 dollars instead of 2 dollars.
It would be much simpler of we could find a reliable pcb assembler in the USA who handles our kind of relatively lower volumes. We did try to search but never found one.
You should have included the very first paragraph of the Whitehouse fact sheet - It clearly states that the de minimus exception is indeed gone as relates to China, and only China:
CLOSING LOOPHOLES IN THE TARIFF SYSTEM:Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order eliminating duty-free?de minimis?treatment for low-value imports from China, a critical step in countering the ongoing health emergency posed by the illicit flow of synthetic opioids into the U.S.

I believe all of HF Signals products are assembled in India, and while the components inside their products most certainly come from China, they are not subject to U.S. import tariffs having passed thru India.

De minimis is gone.

- All relevant postal items containing goods that are sent through the international postal network that are valued at or under $800 and that would otherwise qualify for the?de minimis?exemption are subject to a duty rate of either 30% of their value or $25 per item (increasing to $50 per item after June 1, 2025). This is in lieu of any other duties, including those imposed by prior Orders."

A technical term from a lifetime in uniform rears it's ugly head yet again: BOHICA.

Tariffs are kind of a moving target but your radio shouldn't be affected due to the de minimis exception.
Awaiting my new toy, but wondering what, if any, impact the new tariffs announced by the US will have on shipments to the US.?
