There is little difference (to me) between "lugging a laptop" and carrying a keyboard/mouse, a tablet, or a smartphone.

(I thought the *benefit* of carrying a laptop is it includes power, display, keyboard, pointer, etc all in one case?)

Using a conversational digital mode on the tactile keyboard-less zBitx sounds like a real challenge to me.
