Directly below your messages in the bottom right corner, there is a "More" button with a drop-down-menu which includes a Delete-function.
This feature works on the common "oops's" that we all make from time to time.

I myself find it very usefull because errors always comes to my mind 2 seconds after I press the "Send" button. :o)

In fact, I think I will use it on this post too.
