We are in the middle of designing a generic automatic tuner for the T41 project that is extremely wide ranged (20-1200+ ohms impedance match), handles 100 watts, and does not use ¡°hunt and peck/ branch and bound search¡± to find the tuner solution.? Instead, the small on-board processor determines the impedance of the antenna from acquired phase and amplitude information, calculates the transform to 50-ohms real, and applies the transform¡ then trims it as needed to make a perfect match (this is similar to some military tuners).? It all happens so fast you never knew it happened.? Then stores matches for future use.
?
I suspect it will be done some time in October and offered as a board or a kit.? Generic for all radios, and dirt cheap like all of our projects.
