At last check a non touch screen works just fine off the HDMI output
with a mouse plugged in just fine.? Same for the native touch screen.?
Less troubles with fat fingers.? Also its rather unique.
On a specialized system I made (non ham) a trackball was used in
place of a mouse.? it only took 50mm square area on the panel.
Later we found a force stick that fit the same spot.
Also a small 5 key pad up,down, right, left, and enter works well.
Many ways have been developed to deal with pointing devices
and touch screen is not the only one.
Some of the linux GUIs allow for multiple workspace screens rather
than cram it all into one space.? I did that on my nominal ham
computer so that WSJT-z is on one workspace, FLdigi and CWtype
is on a second? and for voice/cw ops Xlog on the third.? Takes only
one click to jump from one to another.
