I buzzed out the pins to find where the ground pins were - and that showed me the orientation of the 10 pin connector.? I then plugged the hat into th Pi (power offf) and buzzed out the pins vs. the SBITX schematic to find orientation of the 20 pin connector. Then, so I wouldn't forget, I put a dot of white nail polish by each of the pin 1s!? ? I did the same with the +5 connector to make sure I had the polarity right.? Be careful powering th Pi through the 5V pins- put no more than 5.25 volts in or risk blowing up the Pi (ask how I know!)
