I see that the troubleshooting and voltage test point document doesn't cover Q6 off of the mic input.? Might anybody be able to provide what their v3 4,or 5 (maybe v6?] does around the mic amp transistor and the path toward T7?? I'm curious as to whether others get audio out of Q6, and at TP-20
I had fantastic TX audio out after adding a compressor the size of a postage stamp. Then just like that, days later, the TX audio is weak, RF less than 1/2 watt out, and terribly fuzzed and distorted. I replaced the mic amp Q6 in the event that I over-drove it with my mod. There's audio going into Q6 but not out - even after changing twice with spare 3904's. 12v is present at the transisor where it should be on TX.? Removing the compressor and changing the electret mic element didn't help.
