This sound can be heard when I switch from reception to transmission at ft8. It sounds like a metallic sound, like a metal door being slammed.
Sometimes it's louder, sometimes it's softer.
I didn't find any logic in it. There were times when I thought that among the many stations, one or two switched on first and that's it.
Then I pushed the tx delay (here cw delay) up to 1000, but it had no effect.
You might ask why I haven't heard or said anything about this until now.
It has been present until now, with varying volumes and lengths. It is always present when switching from reception to transmission.
This is what is permanent.
I would like to know if those who have delved into the hardware repair to different depths on several occasions have experienced such a phenomenon.
I guess they were happy to find the source of the error.
I read somewhere that self-vibration was mentioned for some stages, but now I can't find the discussion. A 100nF capacitor solved the problem there.
It is possible that an audio mute would solve the problem.
I've only been using it regularly since last November - with over a thousand ft8 qso's. Initially, due to the lack of LOG saving, I used another log program.
I just got to the point of noticing this phenomenon as well. I see that there is no progress in the matter of complex callsigns.
(displaying /p or /prefix or unusual multi-number, multi-letter callsigns)
