That is encouraging.? Thank you for the direct reply, Ashhar! If possible,? please point me to the display as version of raspberry you have been using. This looks to be a worthwhile radio to play with.

Scott,
An extra pair of PA transistors ship with every unit. Of the 200 or so of the v3 shipped, just one reported PA transistor blow out. That apart, there have been no pther reports. The 1n60 diodes used in the swr bridge were at times blown as received from Mouser but we are now individualy testing them before assembly.
V3 is very stable and our plan is to offer this as a full radio, not just a kit.

Hello everyone. I am considering the purchase of the sbitx version 3. As far as I can see, the rf board looks to be very repairable if issues arrise. That is very encouraging to me.
I do have questions about the particular display and raspberry boards. How readily available are the exact boards that are used in the version 3 unit? I was told that Mouser could be a source, but as is the case in computers, form factors, shape, size, features,? etc can vary. Does anyone know the exact boards, source for them, and today's rough price? Hopefully nothing will break, but one never can be sure. Thanks!
