sBIT battery safety

My sBIT (second hand) came with a couple of batteries.? As I am not very familiar with lipo batteries, I did a little bit of checking.? According to a local hobby shop that primarily handles "toys" that use these batteries the following seem to be the most significant items:

Batteries should never be left unattended when charging.

Batteries should always be charged in a flameproof location (a metal ammo can is a good idea).

Batteries should NEVER be charged above 4.2 volts/cell.

Batteries do not like to be kept in a fully charged condition. If you aren't going to use them immediately (within 24 hours) store them at 3.8 volts.? Failure to follow this will shorten battery life.

Batteries should be considered discharged at 3.2 volts.? Ideally, do not discharge them below about 3.4 volts.? The absolute minimum voltage is 3.0 volts.? Discharging below 3.0 volts will cause permanent damage.

These batteries have very high discharge current capabilities.? I personally feel a fuse in the battery leads is a good idea, to protect against something like shorted TX output MOSFETs.
