I assume you are doing that already?? And I assume it will get enough power to run correctly from the GPIO pins but I could be wrong on that.? I've never tried it so I don't know if it works or if it will cause any issues to the radio's power supply.??

My favorite way to watch CPU temperatures is to install htop (apt install htop) then use F2 -> Display Options and check the following:
