Re: sBitx v3 fatal silkscreen error #sBitx #sBITX_v3

Here is how it is:

1. Except in the case of Evans, if anyone used the supplied cable and
connector with the PCB as supplied, it has worked and it will work.
There was a problem with the supplier who supplies us the cables for
one piece that Evan got- it had black wire connected to the +ve and
the red wire connected to the -ve pins of the XT60 connector. Except
for that one cable supplied to Evan, all the V2 and V3 boards have
matching XT60 cable and connectors. They work as supplied.
2. There is a reverse protection diode that will short the reverse
voltage to the ground, tripping the power supply if someone reverses
the connection.
3. The PCB has a wrongly printed silkscreen. The connector itself is
correct though mounted on the back side. This is of no consequence to
anyone who will use the standard XT60 connectors to power up the board
or the kit.

You got a complete assemled sBITX v3 with this wrong soldered power jack , on the wrong side

I too would like some clarification on the extent of the problem.

Is this problem for V3-board-only kits, V3-full-kit, V2-board-only, V2-full-kit, ....

Jack, N6LN said he noticed this in April so it seems it's a V2 problem.

Peter, EI3JCB did not say if he was working with V2 or V3.

I suppose I will be taking apart my V2-full-kit in the near future to understand its condition.

I also have a V3-board-only arriving today so I will evaluate that once it arrives.
