Not sure, this is not present on my system, no idea how it got there on yours

/home/pi/sbitx/data/hw_settings.ini?? has different value compared to the 2 files in the line above
As per?Evan's earlier post?and my own observations, this is the one that is read at startup time.

/home/pi/sbitx/data/default_hw_settings.ini? is completely different from the other 3 files, and does not have "clip" statements.
As per?Evan's earlier post?and my own observations, this one is only read when hw_settings.ini is missing.

It has conservative 'scale' values which means you won't transmit as much energy as the calibrated results.

The conservative values are intended to be kind to your finals till the calibration could be done.

Which of these files contain the calibrated data specific to my sBitx radio AND is loaded at run time?

/home/pi/sbitx/data/hw_settings.ini? is definitely loaded at run time, if it is present.

If the radio has been functioning as intended (i.e. no new calibration has been attempted, etc), it still has the factory calibrated data specific to your radio.

In my case I have a backup of the sdcard I got with the radio and can see the live copy and the backup are still the same, and are different to the default_hw_settings.ini file.?

Also the date stamp on the file indicates it hasn't been touched since before the time I got the radio, so I'm confident it still has the factory contents.

To check the date stamp, type the following in a terminal window.

ls -l $HOME/sbitx/data/hw_settings.ini
