People,
It took us a long time to get the v3 radio ready, but it involved an overhaul of our own processes that had become scattered due to the Raspberry Pi and display shortages.
We finally have secured all the components and we are able to now offer the v3 board and the full kit at really low price points, which was our intention anyway.,
The sBitx v3 board is a full 25 watts radio, with robust IRF510s in the final. This board (minus the Raspberry Pi) is now available, ex-stock?for $180. You can directly buy a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W and have a full SDR running for less than $200.
The fully assembled kit with Raspberry Pi 4, 2GB and the Raspberry Pi's own 7inch capacitive touch display all mounted in the Aluminium box is available for USD 399.
There is nothing in the software that precludes you from running the v3 software?on the earlier hardware (DE as well as v2).
Here are some links:
1. The software manual (still incomplete but usable) is on?
2. The software is available on
3. Video showing how to hook up the v3 board?
I?made a few videos to show how to use the new software:
1. sBitx v3-? first look
2. sBitx v3 - Basics?
3. sBitx v3 - CW operation?
4. sBitx v3 - FT8 operation?
I hope you all have a great time with the radios and without the radios this season.
