When you received your sBITX, did you try to run the TXCAL procedure?
There are settings contained in the sbitx/data/hw_settings.ini file that control the transmitter output level for each of the HF bands 80 thru 10 meters. The default settings may be too low for your transmitter to produce a measurable RF output power. You can manually edit the scale value to increase it for one of the bands, then start the sbitx application and try the transmitter on that band to see if you now have output in either CW or 2tone mode. This was the process we used when the DE and initial software was released to adjust power output for each of the bands.
You said you did find an older version of the software that works for you. Do you have the old version and the new version installed on the same Micro SD card, or are you swapping the cards in and out of the Pi to change software versions?
