I had an issue with a Yaesu rig and posted a question about it in a Yaesu group where Yaesu reps are present. Not a single answer from either the community or reps.
Why didn't you just call Yaesu direct? They have a very responsive group of customer support reps in my experience.
Of the 'big 3' radio manufacturers, only the Mfg Rep for Yaesu occasionally responds to questions directly on third-party support groups (one other Mfg rep will reach out privately, the third doesn't respond). I don't understand why so many people are reluctant to contact manufacturers of amateur radio products directly, they are typically happy to help.
The community may not have the answer, and the lone mfg rep has many other responsibilities, and he may not have had time to answer your question.
I'm NOT a Yaesu "fan boy", though I must admit the last two radios I bought were Yaesu radios (an FTDX-10 and an FT-5DR), both are fine products. That said, every manufacturer occasionally has problems, and if given the chance will try hard to make things right.
I myself bought one of the first sBitx radios, and was floored when upgrade parts started showing up unexpectedly months and months after I received the radio. Yes, HF Signals offers great customer service.
