Petr, On 20 meter with 2 tone test I get about 13w So when I run ft8 I turn it down until my external amp transmits around 30 -40 watts. The sbitx then is only putting out a few watts to drive the amp Doing it that way I can run auto cq all day and sbitx stays very cool. When touching the heatsink, you would never know I am Transmitting . The ext Amplifier is a 150 watt solid state. Very well built. I know it's over kill but the amp is made to take 10 times more power? and this way the combined system stays super cool. I have used this method for years ... so far so it's good.
