ok a discovery......

Probably not using the correct words but:
If I turn the tuning knob from indent to indent it goes up by .1 but if i leave it between indents (ie between clicks into position) then it goes up by .05.
I knew i was seeing it go past .05 as it moved from .1 to .2 but did not think of leaving it between where it clicked into place. I think this is the solution.
