Hi All,
We will, unfortunately, not be able to join you this year. It sounds like a terrific ride, but we have a commitment in the afternoon that will not allow us to get there.
Have a wonderful evening, and best wishes to everyone for this holiday season and new year!

Ed & Laurie,

We have really enjoyed the two Christmas Lights rides that we have done with you in past years.? However, this year we are going to miss it.? Ross is on injured reserve for this weekend’s ride recovering from red light treatment on his face this week. We are looking forward to doing club rides with you this year.

Wishing you two and everyone Happy Holidays!

What a great idea. Unfortunately Barbara and I cannot since we have a new grandchild and are helping his parents.

That sounds like so much fun, but Chris and I can’t make it either.

Unfortunately we will probably be out too. I’m having surgery on my arm on Friday. Shouldn’t be a big deal but I may have to rest for a week or so.

RATS Barboursville ride Saturday, 9/11

?
?Hi all,

The RATS (Richmond Area Tandems) are having a ride this weekend in Barboursville, VA. While it is a little farther away, we hear it is a great area for riding. ?Here are the details:

Join the Knox’ for a social-paced ride from the Barboursville Firehouse?September 11th at 9:30
Meet in the Barboursville Firehouse parking lot (5251 Spotswood Trail -US 33, Barboursville, VA 22923).

It starts out heading northeast to Somerset. It continues past Montpelier (the home of James and Dolly Madison) and loops around through the towns of Orange and Gordonsville. The terrain is mostly open and gently rolling, with a modest climb on the way out of Gordonsville and a really nice (fast( descent after.?Somerset Steam Engine Assoc. is going to be operating their steam tractors, etc. that day and the route passes it twice!

Note: the left-hand section of the parking lot as you face the front of the building, marked by yellow parking stripes, is reserved for firemen. Please use the right-hand side, furthest from the entrance to the lot.

Stores: Mile 16 (Orange); mile 30 (Gordonsville)
The most attractive lunch option with outdoor seating is the Barbeque Exchange in Gordonsville. Krecek Kates also has outdoor seating if the BBQ Exchange has a long line.?
