Hello tandem riders!? Hope you are having a good summer.? The weather is looking promising for Saturday's tandem ride from Runnymede Elementary School? to Littlestown, PA.? Temps look to be in the 60's at the ride start. Both 37 and 47 mile cue sheets will be available at the? ride start.? You could even combine the two and have a nearly 40 mile ride.?Good tandem terrain with a few hills at the beginning and end of the ride.?Lunch at the Subway in Littlestown where you could eat inside or outside.?Note: no restroom at the ride start.? Day of ride cell phone: 410-736-0759.? ?Best wishes, Mike & Evie?

July 31 Tandem ride: Runnymede to Littlestown 47/37 miles
Tandems--join us for a beautiful ride in the countryside from Carroll County, MD to Adams County, PA.? Good tandem terrain with a few hills at the beginning and end of the ride. Lunch stop at the Littlestown Subway.? Outdoor or indoor dining are possible.? Cue sheets for both the 47 and 37 mile rides will be available at the start.? Note: no restroom at the ride start.? Day of ride cell phone: 410-736-0759.? This ride is in place of our scheduled August 29 tandem ride.? Due to a scheduling conflict, we will not be leading a tandem ride on August 29.? Kathie's recovery continues, though she will not be available to join me on the ride we volunteered to lead on Sunday, July 25th, I am still willing to lead that ride while riding on my funny looking short bike.?
The ride I planned is the Waterford Clockwise loop. This would start at Loudon High School in Leesburg, lake the W&OD West to its end, then North to Lovettsville, East and South through Taylorstown, Waterford, and Paeonian Springs. This is about 42 miles with limited climbing.
We can meet at South Street Under after the ride for Lunch.?

We had two Bikenky Tandems plus a custom single for Mike. Bikenky makes a great bike. Too bad the gov¡¯t couldn¡¯t pay his usual price for a quality bike for Boris.

In case there¡¯s any doubt we are still planning to ride Saturday morning. According to the Friday evening forecast there is only about a 12% chance of rain on Saturday. The roads may still be wet or damp but we will ride. The temperature is expected to be in the mid 60¡¯s - low 70¡¯s - perfect in my book.

Great article. We had Bilenky cut our tandem in 2 :-( and attach couplers so we can travel more easily to Europe last year.
