After? more than a year of riding alone? we were not sure how relaxed? ?a group ride would feel?
Seven? Tandems? on the road? together? indeed? feels? as good as it looks? ?The only difference?
for our? tandem? is? choice of food? being more used to? longer tandem rides? maybe food break? after 80 miles
our normal 50 mile? ride? we? carry water bottles? but dont even drink? unless is really hot? on longer days
We usually carry? cherry tomato and? baby cucumber? with? cheese crackers / chips? ?for a light snack??
With? Harwood? being? about? half hour drive? for us? was? easy to? make? ride start by? 10 AM? ? ??

We recommend the longer route because it has two nice additional sites not on the shorter route ¨C first is the nice view of the Chesapeake bay coming off the hill in Fairhaven.? Next is a view of the old ¡°Tacaro¡± farm with brick fences which is seen on the left from both Town Point and Leitch roads.? Unfortunately, the farm is not open for public viewing: ?? ? Directions to start:? From DC Beltway Exit 19, take US-50 (John Hanson Hwy) east 11 miles and exit south on MD-424 (Davidsonville Rd).? Remain on MD-424 until it ends (about 5 miles) at MD-2 (Solomon's Island Rd).? Turn right on MD-2.? Go 2 miles then right into school.?
