Mr. Khan was born in Calgary; his father migrated from Pakistan. His mother is an English woman. David Khan is the first openly gay leader of a major Alberta political party. Khan lost his race in Calgary-Mountain View. It’s the first time since 1982 that the party hasn’t held a seat in the legislature. ?
