AFTER?the First World War (WWI), the influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 (also known as Spanish Flu) infected 500 million people and killed 17 to 50 million people, possibly as high as 100 million (source: encyclopedia; Wikipedia).?
It was one of the deadliest pandemics in human history. The news of numbers of death censored by the governments, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States to maintain the morale of the soldiers involved in WW1.?
It is much more death in the pandemic than the WWI. More people died of influenza in a single year than in four-years of the Black Death Bubonic Plague from 1347 to 1351.
