Question about building a code plug for travel

Questions on building first code plug for my AT878UV+.

I'm traveling this summer around USA for about 3500km each way. I used repeaterbook search by highway and band and crossed radio reference to remove channels more than 10 miles radius from route and stops. I have both analog and DMR in my csv channel file. These sources seem not to be setup for a vacation travel.
?
I'm currently searching through each DMR channel to get talk groups they allow, I guess. I haven't tried loading into the radio because I was told that the order to import is talk groups, channels, zones, and then contacts for the digital side. Then channels, zones for the analog side.
?
Do I create a different channel for each talk group that specific repeater allows??
?
Example repeater https://www.repeaterbook.com/repeaters/details.php?state_id=06&ID=8035 has 5 talk groups according to https://brandmeister.network/?page=repeater&id=310738 (I noticed inactivity, but using as example) so if I want to scan for activity to signal for help or something, I have to create 5 separate channels for this repeater?

What about zones? Should I group them into all 250 zones, a zone for each 14km? And then there is gps ranging with only 16 entries.?

I am hoping that I can use my local pi-star hotspot and tether to my cellular wifi hotspot to make up for the deadzones zones.
