Any basic (free) group created after a certain date (I don't remember when) has no file storage. I believe you can attach a photo. When we exceed a certain storage limit in the message archives, the oldest attachments will be deleted as new ones take their place.?

Mark (the owner of the groups.io platform) is investigating types of groups where members are charged instead of the groups being charged for premium groups. Yeah, it was great while it was free. Fortunately, Mark didn't change those
groups formed before that cutoff date and left them with their files, databases, calendars, etc. I understand that he can't just provide free groups forever. He started making changes when Yahoo closed Yahoo Groups. That 1 GB of storage space you see on the pricing page I linked to is for attachments like pictures. They aren't stored permanently, but by the time we use up that amount of picture space, the need for MOST of the pictures sent by email will be over. You can use an off-site picture hosting service and link to any pictures you want to. Whether they stay there permanently depends on the hosting service.
