This radio appears to be a 2-band knock off of the Yaesu FT-8900.? I own both radios.? I'm curious if anyone has an AT-5888UV and has experimented with the USB port to determine if remote control (i.e., CAT control) is even possible.? Too bad that AnyTone didn't include that as a feature since it makes the perfect radio for digital comms (such as WInlink, FLDIGI, SSTV, etc).??
I've also discovered that the RJ-45 microphone (QHM-05) isn't your standard analog mic.? It appears to support a digitized audio stream (??) and that fuels additional curiosity as to the potential for digital comms.? Documentation that I have is pretty sketchy, so I haven't looked much further and thought this board might know more about this particular rig.
