Depends on what you are trying to accomplish.? The ¡°cleanest¡± AM signal is amplified by a class ¡°A¡± amplifier.? You CAN do that with my amp but limit it to about 7 watts maximum.? Just increase the bias to the point where the amp draws as much current without RF excitation as it does with full excitation.? I can give you the gate voltage to do that on Thursday if you would rather set it that way.? It will work just fine a lower classes in AM though.

I¡¯m toying with an EdenTRX / DSP rig which is capable of AM. If I combine it with a 20W K9HZ (¡°Bill¡±) amp, is the building instructions stated bias value correct? It seems to me that AM and SSB are the same with the type of bias adjustment (AB I think) so it would work?
