The way I understood PayPal fees for sending money (in the U.S.) is that you only get charged fees if you use a debit/credit card when you send money or if the recipient invoices the request for money. If you send the money as "family or friends" directly from a PayPal attached Bank Account (not credit/debit card) there shouldn't be any fee. That is how we've been sending money to one of our college-age kids that lives out of state. That would be complicated for someone who doesn't already have the set up, but if an account is already set up that way it would save the approximately 1% fee. The Sandra Dodd email would be the friend. I understand there are a lot of international members of this group. But it's a thought and might save a bit of money for U.S. donors. I did it for the
