no buttons working

 

i tried to tx at 10w into my atu-100,its display went garbled,i reset it but still had a garbled display,I then removed the 12v power and reconected it,now it wont read any power or swr etc,its as there is no rf going too it,also now no buttons work,all buttons have a 100nf cap to ground ans ferrite beads on the wires,any ideas?.
 

Hi Paul,
Lack of RF should not stop the buttons from working. The RF may have corrupted the PIC. Have you tried reprogramming it?
- Test to see if all the buttons work as expected before sending any RF into it.
- If that works, try with a dummy load to see if the PWR and SWR is reading as expected.
Even with 10W, there could be hundreds of volts of RF inside the ATU, depending on the type of antenna you are using.

ive tried all that except reading the pic,its a job for later as its awkward in the enclosure,its fitted inside an extruded aluminium ebike brushless motor controller so its akin to keyhole surgury!.
 

well i still cant find my picitt3,is it likley the diodes have fried in the bridge as it displays normaly when powered up but as well as the buttons non working,feeding it with rf does nothing like the rig is not connected.
 

well i have found my pickit3 and am haviing to use my win7pc as the pickit wont work on my win 10 pc,it says nothing detected,see screenshot,does that mean its dead,if so why did it happen?
