Hi all,I have just finished my atu 100 kit build and fitted it in a case,silly question but does the antenna go to the in or the radio?,also will it automaticaly tune when i put rf into it,thanks.m3vuv

Hi Paul, The antenna connects to the ATU100 on the ANT port and a jumper connects to the transceiver on the RF in port. I use a morse key to send a signal from the transceiver to tune.

as i said this is a kit ,and the display can be fitted anywhere so that answer doesent help,can folks not refer to the schematic and tell me?.

Good luck with the FT-707 repair, the ATU-100 power requirements and programming. Also the understanding of the answers you receive without ranting when you dont understand the answers.

RF Input is the transceiver connection and out or output is the antenna connection.

An RF power goes from the Radio into INput of the tuner and then goes to OUTput then goes to ANTenna.?

firstly thanks for designing and making the ATU available. I bought a complete unit off eBay which was listed as not working, on arrival I found all the toroids had come unsoldered. Connected it up and it didn’t work, turned out to be the PL259 connectors on the back labelled up wrong. It’s a no brainer to use an Americanism .

Firstly i dont know how i was supposed to be shouting?,maybe my caps lock toggled on,this wireless kb has no indicator on it!,as for the 707 i am waiting on a new 8v reg to arrive as i dont want to risk doing damage to the radio,we will see what other issues it has! 73.
