ATU-1000 Reprogramming

Can someone tell me if the ATU-1000 has to be reprogrammed after it is received? ?Does it come with ATU-100 software that requires changes? ?I am confused about the changes that may have to done so it will operate properly at 1000 watts. ?

I have never seen the ATU-1000 Bill but I can't think why the software would be any different to the ATU-100. The principles of its operation are the same so the only differences I would expect are the larger sized components to handle the higher voltage and current that come with 1000 watts.

I have read you have to configure some of the specifications in the EEPROM to match the ATU-1000 specifications.

Hopefully some body who has an ATU-1000 will be able to advise you, Bill.

Hi all,

The AT-1000 I bough worked fine out-of-the-box, no re-programming required.

That being said mine had an older version of the software and I did reprogram it with a more recent version and made the appropriate adjustments to that software for operating to 1kW.

Its been operating just fine for years.

And Murphy visited me last week and now it wont power up, possibly cause is from a recent thunder storm and associated lightning.

initial inspection doesn't show anything burned and only a single red led illuminated on the CPU board.

More investigation required when I have time.

cheers

Tim

Thanks Tim.

I am new at this. Could you explain what adjustments you had to make and where?

Thank you,
Bill
