coil wire diameter

 

Is the wire diameter for the coils critical? i only have 0.6mm or 1mm wire,i realise i may need to drill the pcb holes bigger? possibly,but will it change the coil inductance enough to matter?.
 

Hi Paul,
Increasing the wire gauge should not change the inductance.
If you have to drill out the holes, you will probably remove the through plating and so carefully check all connections. Since most of tracks are on the top side of the PCB, it may make things a bit awkward for soldering.
