Re: ATU-100 spares
Previously I think the switch shorted or grounded a resistor. I tried to copy these connections across to the new board but I didn't get the same behavior? ?as before. Maybe a minor revision of circuit board? I think I have some pictures of the original setup Thanks John On 8 December 2022 at 17:52:20 -00:00, davebb123456 <davidbrowne76@...> wrote:

Re: ATU-100 spares
Hi John
Thanks for getting back to me Yes i would put a switch on the battery wire, how was it done before ? Thanks for the info, i have just cut out the front panel of my case for a large display, and i got a bit carried away when i ordered a battery for mine i was going to just get a 18650, but i got a 10Ah battery as it is only 12.5mm 60x100 and should fit in the case that i am using, Thanks Dave 2E0DMB?? |
Re: ATU-100 spares
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Dave ? I don¡¯t recall any RF noise with the old setup and as of yet, I have not re-wired the new board back in successfully. ? Ta John M0vaz ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of davebb123456 ? Hi John |
Re: Power and SWR reading are wrong on upper bands.
Hi YO8SEP
I know it has been some time how did you get on with this, i had the same problem and it was the diodes that had been fitted had to be changed to BAT 41, when i put this info on Davids's git hub, a few more users tried fitting the BAT41 then there tuners worked fine Thanks Dave 2E0DMB |
Re: Connections from PicKit3 to ATU
@ David: your'e so right! I forgot... (by the way: thanks for fine work!!)
@ Amanda: and now from PC I add some pictures: The connectur at the pcb (regard the colors!) PIC-3 and his conector How to put the prgramming cable to the PIC (regard the colors! Black is Pin 1) During programming the power supply of the tuner has to be set off and the display has to be disconnected. The processor is supplied from PIC3 during programming. 73, Immo |
Re: PCB Orientation of T1 T2 Binocular Core
Hi,
If it¡¯s any help I bought a non working commercially built ATU100 off eBay, the toroids were adrift from the board at one end, after resoldering the unit was doing strange things, then I realised that the the input and output were labelled the wrong way round on the back panel. Something to look out for? Regards Amanda M0DZO |
PCB Orientation of T1 T2 Binocular Core
Once the T1 T2? binocular core is wound, does it matter how the 10 turn wire ends are oriented on the PCB? (Please see attached YT screenshot vs my connections) I'm having problems with an AliExpress ATU100 kit not indicating the proper power output and SWR. The kit came flashed with V3.2 firmware and seems to go through the "Test Mode" and "Fast Test" without issue. I'm aware of the potential problem with some Schottky diodes and possible poor solder joints, so I inspected all solder joints under a microscope and they seem fine. Finally, what is "Fider Loss input"? and what it be set at?? Any help getting this working right would be greatly appreciated!

Re: ATU-10 3x more DC Current in SLEEP & OFF ??

Hi, Stig
Disconnect the soldering pad jumper and try again with disconnected relays switches.? |
Re: ATU-10 3x more DC Current in SLEEP & OFF ??

Hi David.
Yes, on the jumper pins, the 12 mA with the display light, o¨ªs OK. But in all other conditions, it is the same, as 37 mA. 73 de OZ32XO - Stig. |
Re: ATU-10 3x more DC Current in SLEEP & OFF ??

In working mode 12 mA
Waiting mode 0.17 mA
Power off - 0.037 mA
You can meter a current between a jumper on the board and soldering pad jumper to recognize what is taking power MCU or switches parts.? |
